Publications

NALS 2020 offers the opportunity to publish high-quality contributions in two renowned journals: Nanoscale Advances and IEEE Magnetic Letters. Note that these will not constitute conference proceedings, and contributions will be handled as standard submissions to the respective journals (although it will be indicated that they were presented at the conference).
Below you can find more specific information about the publication process in both journals.
Papers Related to the International Conference on Nanomaterials Applied to Life Sciences 2020 (NALS 2020) in Nanoscale Advances
We are delighted to offer invited speakers and selected attendees of NALS 2020 the opportunity to contribute some of their new high quality work to Nanoscale Advances as part of an invited online article collection with a theme ‘nanomaterials applied to life sciences’.

Nanoscale Advances is gold open access, but all publication charges are waived until 2021 so it is free to read and free for authors to publish in the journal. The journal has also been accepted into the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and it is indexed in the Emerging Sources Index on Web of Science as well as Scopus.

Papers Related to the International Conference on Nanomaterials Applied to Life Sciences 2020 (NALS 2020) in IEEE Magnetics Letters

You may submit a five-page paper, whether contributed or invited, for publication in IEEE Magnetics Letters (IML) any time before the conference until 31 March 2020. If you are giving an invited talk, your article should not be a review; rather, it should contain mostly new results, as is appropriate for a letters journal. If you reuse material from a previously published article or conference proceedings paper, you must cite it, briefly summarize it, and clearly state what is new and important in the current manuscript. All submitted articles are automatically checked for excessive duplication. Templates are available at <https://ieeeauthorcenter.ieee.org/create-your-ieee-article/use-authoring-tools-and-ieee-article-templates/ieee-article-templates/>.

The regular editors will manage the review process. If your article is accepted, it will be published on-line, in preprint form, immediately after full peer review and your revisions. Several weeks later, it will appear as fully edited and typeset. Each paper will have its own article number and its own dates of submission and publication. IML is known for providing authors with helpful reviews, excellent copyediting of language, careful preparation of reference lists, and short times from submission to publication.

All articles will have a footnote, “International Conference on Nanomaterials Applied to Life Sciences, Madrid, Spain, 29-31 January 2020.” Except for the footnote, the format of your article will be indistinguishable from that of any other IML article. It will not be part of a conference proceedings. There is no charge for regular publication; Open Access publication is available for a charge.

The URL for article submission is <http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/maglet-ieee>.  In Step 1 of the submission process, please select as the Manuscript Type: Nanomagnetics, Biomagnetics, Magnetochemistry, or the subject area closest to that of your article. In Step 2, under Conference-Related Articles, please select “NALS – Nanomaterials Applied to Life Sciences.”

The IML website for published articles is <http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/RecentIssue.jsp?reload=true&punumber=5165412>. IML is tracked by all major indexing services, including Web of Science and Scopus.
